anissa marie folley

Anissa Marie discovered yoga 10 years ago in NYC after injuring her knee in collegiate track and field. After countless physical therapy sessions, she began taking yoga classes at a local studio and before she knew it, she was practicing everyday and even running competitively again. She quickly realized that yoga had the power to not only help one heal physically, but also mentally.

She deepened  her practice by completing her 200-hr teacher training specialized in Ashtanga & Vinyasa Yoga. She's also completed Traditional Chinese Medicine Yin Yoga training, which has allowed her to make her classes more accessible to students with chronic injuries and mobility issues.

"For me, yoga is about the balance between strength and flexibility, breathing and releasing. My classes combine both mental and physical awareness through a Vinyasa Flow style. Expect to move, sweat, breathe and find your focus."
